Riding the Millersburg ferry

Millersburg ferry    Benches, picnic tables and glider swings sprinkle the shore along the glistening water of the Susquehanna River in Millersburg, Dauphin County. Older couples and young families sit and enjoy the scenery, sunshine and light breeze on this warm afternoon. Children skip rocks over the water and act
out stories of pirates capturing ships and treasure. The only sounds are the swings creaking and a light chitchat of families and friends enjoying one another's company. Everyone is waiting in Riverside Park for the historic paddlewheel ferryboat of Millersburg to come to the dock and board the next group of passengers.
