Come Along for the Journey

There are so many jewels inside Pennsylvania. Some are better known than others. For starters, there's the mighty Susquehanna River and all the communities, big and small, along its banks. Each holds a multitude of stories to tell and sights to see. There's succulent seasonal produce (around here, we dream of summer's tomatoes and corn all year long) and amazing architecture. We want to share it all with you.

The beautiful farmlands and communities of Central Pennsylvania are home to a lot of beautiful people. Readers are invited to nominate anyone over the age of 18 residing in Union, Snyder, Northumberland or Montour County for the annual "Most Beautiful People" issue (February 2011). Send us a current photograph that shows the person's beauty and briefly tell us why this person should be selected. Include the subject's hometown and contact information. The top 15 will be featured in the February 2011 issue of Inside Pennsylvania. Do you love to write? Do you love Pennsylvania? Then we would love for you to write about Pennsylvania! We are seeking unpublished fiction stories, poetry and creative writing for consideration in appearing in Inside Pennsylvania, which publishes four times a year. Here's the catch: your piece must include a reference to a specific Central Pennsylvania landmark, no matter how big or small, or how well-known. As always, use your knowledge, creativity and imagination! Keep entries short -1,000 words or less - and include a title. Stories may include a photograph or piece of colorful artwork. We are now accepting submissions for the Spring issue, which will be on newsstands from February to May. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. Jan. 3, at which time the winner will be notified by phone or e-mail. Only one submission will be selected. One entry per person, please.
